MEET THE INSTRUCTOR
Since he began mixing cocktails in 1980, Tony Abou-Ganim has demonstrated not only a knack for creating original modern cocktails, like his iconic Cable Car, but also an innate ability to provide every guest with a wonderful and memorable drink experience. Abou-Ganim has raised his shaker behind legendary bars including the Starlight Room in San Francisco, Mario Batali's Po in New York, the Bellagio in Las Vegas and even aboard Crystal Cruise Lines. He lives in Las Vegas with his dog, Fort.

Vodka’s rise in America is closely allied with the emergence of the dry vodka Martini, a classic still popular today. Given vodka’s broad appeal and eminent mixability, however, it soon enabled a vast array of Martini-style cocktails that embrace innovative flavors from coffee to cucumber, along with culinary trends and modern mixing techniques.

Beginning with a Martini glass and a bottle of Stoli® as your canvas, create a modern martini recipe that celebrates the taste of cold Stoli® vodka and reflects your signature style of cocktail artistry.

Vodka cocktails are both great aperitifs and very food-friendly. Describe a bar bite or appetizer you’d suggest to complement your drink.

The differences among vodkas are subtle, but very real and become apparent with practice. Take a sip of Stoli® vodka and write a tasting note. In addition to aroma, flavor and finish, you might want to describe the body, texture and mouthfeel of cold Stoli.
