Starting with roasted heirloom tomatoes brings culinary pedigree and incredible flavor to this handcrafted variation of the classic.
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 parts Stoli®
  • 3 parts roasted heirloom tomato juice (see recipe*)
  • 1/2 part fresh lemon juice
  • 3 dashes Worchestershire
  • 3 dashes Tabasco
  • 1 pinch celery salt
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • Seasonal or pickled vegetables for garnish
PREPARATION
Combine all ingredients except ground pepper and pickled garnish in a mixing glass or Boston shaker with ice and gently roll back and forth to combine. Do not shake. Strain into a double old-fashioned glass. Garnish with various fresh and pickled veggies and top with fresh cracked black pepper.
*FOR ROASTED HEIRLOOM TOMATO JUICE
INGREDIENTS
  • 2 lbs. assorted heirloom tomatoes
  • 2 Fresno chiles
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 bunch chopped basil
  • 1 bunch chopped parsley
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 cup plain tomato juice
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 325ยบ F. Add the olive oil to a baking sheet. Slice tomatoes in half and add to the sheet with chiles, garlic, chopped herbs and salt and pepper to taste. Bake for 2 hours, or until tomatoes are soft. Allow tomatoes to cool, then add to a blender along with tomato juice. Puree until smooth, then force through a mesh strainer using the back of a spoon. Refrigerate before use.
